How to make your own Creepers

♫ you can never have too many platform boots ♫

I have yet to try this one… what a great way to give a new life to the flipflops hanging around at home.

Want to have your own pair of these amazing sneaker Creepers?

INGREDIENTS:
  • Flat Lace ups shoes- Could be Vans, Converse or high tops –High Tops provide more support for your ankles) ,
  • Three pairs of rubber thongs, give or take depending on how high you would like your creepers. You may find that you will need a larger size of thongs than what would you normally wear.
  • Shoe glue – I used 2 tubes.
  • Scissors
  • Large serrated knife
  • Ink pen or pencil
  • Plasti-Dip liquid rubber paint
  • Sponge paint brush
  • Rubber bands
  • Rubber Gloves- So you dont get glue all over your hands

Step 1: Clean the Shoes

  • Ensure that before you start making the shoes that they are thoroughly cleaned, Use Mentholated Spirits or nail polish remover to do so. (It’s essential to make sure everything is clean as dirt and moisture prevent glue from making a secure bond.)

Notepad DIY – 99% Recycled, 100% EASY

So you discovered this because you wanted to know what Agenda Resurrected is

… or maybe you didn’t.

What you REALLY WANT must be to learn how to make cheap, easy and efficient notepads that give paper an extra life before being sent to a recycling centre.

First thing’s first: Do you have a bunch of scrap paper?

(click the pics if you need to see a description of the steps)

Note:  I thought I’d try something new by using the Gallery function.
If you find it difficult/annoying/strange to read, let me know in the comments!
~~ I’m also curious to hear what you had for breakfast.

Feeling bad? Get yourself fancy pads!

I found Red Alert, a feminist zine at the Toronto Reference Library.red.alert-femzine It was made and produced in the 90s by Concordia QPIRG, a group of Québécois grrrls. They want to take ‘men’ out of menstruation and called it FEMSTRUATION! Why is it called menstruation anyways!?!?
These girls essentially wrote a vagina manual. They glorified PMS, taught me how to do my own breast-exams, explained the dangers of commercial feminine hygiene products and even had a fold-out pattern for DIY re-usable pads… plus lots more.

Red Alert helped me decide to take the risk and get my hands dirty ;]
I’M GOING ALL THE WAY, LADIES!  I’m not ashamed of my lady parts.
♥  I l-o-v-e them ♥
+ Life’s boring without a bit of blood. So I bought myself re-usable pads. (more…)
