Bad Acid Trip – Beef Moo

A little story about earth.

“Too many people in such a small place.
Over-population by this human race
They beat you down, say ‘Learn your place
As part of a statistic called the human race
Fat rats breed us toward our own annihilation
Hiding ideas that’d be our salvation”

Bad Acid Trip is the best. I want them to come to Canada!!!

Music | The Old-timers

The Old-Timers are the best Christian Punk band I have ever heard. Probably the only one I have ever heard… I discovered them a few days ago on Trent Radio and, although I do not identify with religion, this is the best contemporary religious music I have ever heard.

They don’t only sing about god! They sing about real issues, politics and the social issues we face. Homeless Friends is one of my favorite songs, also check out For the Love of Hippos!!!

They are PUNK A.F.

OFFICIAL GROUP: SWAP/DROP  (join to stay updated or volunteer for the next one) ++Share this event with your friends!

We had such a great time hearing your stories, painting pinecones and doing scavenger hunts with you! A big thanks to everyone who was so supportive of this idea. I hope to see you back again :] Keep in mind, the Swap/Drop wasn’t only created to have free fun and get free stuff. I created this to inspire others to think differently about unnecessary consumerism and the role we play in waste management. If we buy less, share more & think differently about what is considered junk, we can limit lots of waste ending up in the dump and make cool art/furniture at the same time. Who knows, maybe the best things in life really are free.

Essentially I am trying to get the community together so we can think differently about consumerism and the role we play in waste management.

Buy less, share more & think differently about what trash means to YOU.

If you can, please share with your friends.

Girls Rock!

Get ready Dawson City, Grrrls are going to shake things up this summer.

Heck yeah! It’s be a success with crowd-funding for the Yukon Girls Rock Camp and that means young girls getting together, making music and feeling empowered. Devon and the Dawson City Music Fest crew hosted concerts, local events and a Kickstarter campaign in efforts to raise money for this great idea.
When people get together, anything is possible!

DRINK WAT-AHH!

“It’s the drink of life and its been here since the beginning of time.
So ditch the soda and give it a try!”

This video is ridiculous. x]

DRINK UP is a campaign directed by Partnership for a Healthier America [Michelle Obama] to promote the benefits of drinking water.  I can’t speak too much about the campaign itself, but water is my drink of choice.

The importance of good, clean water in our bodies and on our land is very important to me.

Without water, we wouldn’t exist… we are made of water! If we are made of water, we essentially ARE water. If we don’t drink water… then what do we become? Carbonated?!?
