Windows Live

Windows 10; Creepy or Connected?

When the free upgrade for Windows 10 launched, I jumped.
I thought it was a good thing to get the free upgrade and in my stupidity I did not consider that I was the guinea pig for bug fixes, updates and discovering new flaws to the operating system.windowsmessenger

What started my general dislike for this system is having to get a Windows Live account. It’s been YEARS since I used MSN!!
(I also thought it strange to have to LOG IN to my computer using an online account)

When I read the Terms & Conditions I learned about all these ‘security features’ and things Microsoft learns from your computer.
-*ALWAYS READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS*-

I felt pretty uncomfortable with Cortana and immediately searched for ways to disable all features that can collect information such as my name, nicknames, calendar events and more. It took a lot of work and I had to do some digging to modify the system in a way I felt was safe and maintained my privacy.

After a lot of thought, I reverted back to my original operating system because there were far too many things about Windows 10 that I did not like including everything mentioned below.
